LOS ANGELES (June 28, 2021) – Starting today, June 28, 2021, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Electricity (LADWP) will resume personal services for several popular programs for individuals and businesses suspended in March 2020 as part of the ministry`s response to COVID-19 to protect the health and safety of customers, employees and contractors. Insulation has the opposite effect in winter, working to capture heat indoors. Homes without insulation typically experience temperature fluctuations of 5 to 10 degrees, forcing their heating or cooling systems to work harder to keep homes comfortable. Homeowners who participate in the new insulation program can expect temperature fluctuations that drop to 3 degrees or less, resulting in reduced air conditioning or heating costs. Eligible types of insulation materials include blankets (slats and rollers), foam panels or rigid foam panels filled, blown, applied in the attic, spray foam and foam insulation systems. Discounts are available to customers, whether they hire a contractor or do it themselves.
